Medical Education Common Entrance Examination – Bachelor Level (MECEE-BL)
About MEC
The Medical Education Common Entrance Examination–Bachelor Level (MECEE-BL) is conducted across Nepal by the Medical Education Commission (MEC), Nepal. Previously, individual universities and colleges conducted their own entrance examinations, which led to confusion among students due to varying eligibility criteria and inconsistent admission processes. Admissions were often conducted in a disorganized manner.
To address these issues and establish a unified, transparent, and standardized admission system, the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) was introduced. The CEE was conducted for the first time in 2021 AD and was successfully implemented nationwide.
The examination is conducted exclusively within the Kathmandu Valley, usually during the months of Bhadra or Ashwin, most likely before the Dashain and Tihar holidays, in accordance with MEC examination schedules. Since the Grade 12 board examinations are typically held in Baishakh, students generally have three to five months to prepare for the CEE.
The CEE is almost compulsory for admission into most medical and health science programs in Nepal. These include MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BPH, BAMS, BPT, B Optometry, BSc MIT, BSc MLT, BASLP, B Perfusion Technology, BNS, and several others. Even for students planning to pursue medical education abroad, passing the CEE is mandatory. Without passing the CEE, graduates will not be eligible to practice or work in Nepal after completing their studies.
Admission to colleges is based on a student’s CEE score and rank, allowing candidates to choose from medical colleges across Nepal according to merit. A total of 691 scholarship seats are available nationwide, including reserved quotas, distributed as follows:
· General (Open) Category: 380 seats
· Reserved (Quota) Category: 311 seats

ROADMAP TO CEE
Early start is not an advantage-it is a weapon.
The moment you start your CEE preparation seriously; you step ahead in this race. Because CEE is not just an exam, it is a battlefield. A brutal rat race. And the only way to escape it is to win it.
Look around you. Your friends. Your classmates. Your coaching toppers.
They are not just friends anymore; they are your competition.
Don’t waste your energy thinking about how they will fail. Focus on one thing only: how you will crack CEE?
If becoming a doctor has been your dream since childhood, then understand this clearly, dreams don’t wait. This race started the day you entered Class 11. Some realized it early. Many didn’t. Some will realize it after their first drop. Some after their second.
But if you realize it today, you still have the power to change everything.
Let me tell you one hard truth every CEE aspirant must accept:
CEE is decided in just those 3 hours
You may study for 2 years.
You may sacrifice sleep, friends, festivals, and comfort.
But your entire future will be judged in those 180 minutes.
You are not studying to become a doctor.
You are studying to win those 180 minutes.
Now ask yourself honestly,
Do you want to watch others wear the white coat while you say, “I studied, but it didn’t happen”?
Or do you want to say, “I was prepared for that exact day”?
Most CEE aspirants fail not because they lack intelligence, but because they lack practice under pressure. They read, revise, and memorize but when the clock starts ticking, their mind freezes.
This is where GyanSewa changes the game.
GyanSewa is not just a test platform, it is a CEE training ground.
It gives you real CEE-pattern mock tests designed by those who have already cleared this exam and won this race.
Every mock test on GyanSewa trains your mind to fight pressure.
It teaches you how to solve 200 questions with just 54 seconds per question.
It shows you your weak areas before CEE shows them to you on the final day.
Remember this:
“Practice makes a man perfect” is wrong.
Perfect practice makes a CEE ranker perfect.
And that perfect practice happens only when you test yourself again and again exactly like the real exam. That’s what GyanSewa gives you.
Mock tests will hurt your ego at first.
You’ll see low scores. You’ll feel uncomfortable.
But that pain is powerful it will push you to rise from 100 to 140, 140 to 160 and beyond.
Every test you give on GyanSewa builds confidence.
Every analysis makes you sharper.
Every improvement brings you closer to your dream.
Don’t wait for the syllabus to finish—it never will.
Don’t wait for the “perfect time”—it doesn’t exist.
Start now.
Give mock tests.
Fail early. Learn faster. Improve daily.
Because CEE is not won by those who study the most
CEE is won by those who perform best on one single day.
And when that day comes, make sure you are not guessing
Make sure you are trained.
Train with GyanSewa.
Fight the race.
Win the race.
Your white coat is not a dream.
It is a decision make it today.
